This site is yet another in a line of attempts to get my thoughts out on the web.

I have a lot of stuff rambling on up in my head and have always been looking for ways to express that. It would be easy if it they centered around one thing, but it’s everything from tech to politics to business and everything in between.

So why now?

For starters, I’ve found myself posting items on Facebook that can become borderline essays. These are either posts of my own or in response to others. In the process, I think I may be flooding some of my friends’ feeds.

Second, I’ve become a big user of Twitter. However, there is that character limitation (not a bad thing at all) which means no essays there. However, I don’t necessarily want everyone on Twitter to have access to all my Facebook posts.

Third and most important: separation. I’ve always felt conscious about making sure that I only wrote this bit over here and that bit over there. That made any endeavor incomplete at best.

That’s where this comes in. It’s a happy medium between everything: a place I can put my thoughts without filling feeds and yet have it accessible to whomever happens to be passing by. Also, by hosting it outside of any social network, there’s no question as to “ownership”.

So, maybe the 300th time is the charm.

Oh, and the name? It’s both a juxtaposition and irony: something that has become a theme for my life. And, all the other creative names were taken.

A Note about the contents of this site: Thanks to 21st century technology, we have the opportunity to hear and react to items almost instantaneously. I may post initial thoughts and reactions based on the news at hand. Of course, things may change without any notice. Keep that in mind as you read a posting: check the time and weigh that with how events of our day develop.

A note about the design of this site: I’m still in the process of nailing down a look, but didn’t want to let that get in the way of me starting to post. Please excuse if the look suddenly changes some days. I found a theme that I really liked, but it made things crash, and that’s not good.

And it should go without saying, but all comments and ideas are just my own and have no connection to those I have any professional dealings with.
